Every season is a great season to promote product, but the holiday season is the best time of all. With Christmas approaching quickly, it’s the perfect time to get your head in the game and pimp out those products!
Start by identifying any seasonal promotions or products you want to highlight. It’s always best to try and group together items to create a “gift basket” idea. Not only will it enable you to highlight more than one product, but also it will encourage your customers to buy more.
Make a list and check it twice (sorry! But it’s too good not to use) for specific names, groups, or individuals you might be able to associate with the product.
Just to clarify, when we say who, get specific we mean; Freelance, stay-at-home Dad, Creative business professional woman, suburban families with 3+ children etc. Think of their interests, what jobs they work, and what their home life will be like.
Then get BOOSTING!
Make sure to tailor your content to who will be buying for this person you’ve identified (a little secret, women do most of the shopping) and make sure you target your product directly to the buyer!
We suggest a couple of options for promoting your product; boost an individual post and create a Facebook ad (click here for a refresher on Facebook Ads). Make sure to apply all the previously identified criteria to make sure you reach the right people!
Next, take time to take some great images of your products. We recommend light and bright! It’s the most enticing. And definitely make sure they are at least 1000x1000 pixels or 1200x628 pixels as per Facebooks new guidelines.
*Special note, Facebook has changed its policy allowing text to only take up 20% of space. They are very particular about it so make sure you adhere to the rules and double down on creating beautiful images.
Make sure your title has a great call to action and then follow up with tailored content to highlight your product. Most people know they are being sold to so don’t try to sound too pitchy. Just articulate the highlights of your product rather than how amazing they are to use. And don’t forget to include any special pricing or discount they might receive!
Now away with you! Get out there and get started! If you have any more questions or would like some advice, contact us here.
