Anika Watkins
CEO, Founder
Anika began her career working in radio in the Twin Cities, and later made the move to Nashville where she pursued a career in public relations and journalism. After receiving her Bachelors Degree in Public Relations from Belmont University, she worked at a top Nashville advertising agency where she spearheaded social media efforts for clients in the public relations department. With a passion for writing, Anika also contributed as a regular copywriter for Nashville Lifestyles Magazine.
After realizing the unique opportunities in social media, she was inspired to create a boutique online marketing company that offered big agency results. In 2011 she launched Moxie Media & Management, LLC, a digital marketing agency that provides tailored online marketing services and proven strategies for companies all over the United States.
Little Known Fact: Anika appeared as a featured 'extra' in the Rascal Flatts video, "Banjo" in 2012.

Lisa Hoover
Brand Manager
Lisa studied Fashion Design and Marketing at London South Bank University. Upon completing her degree, she worked in visual merchandising and later transitioned into fashion styling and on-set costuming for television and film. Lisa eventually returned to her hometown in Franklin, TN where she continued her career in fashion with the Nashville Ballet and Tucker and Bloom, where she developed prototypes for clients and in-house designs.
With an equal passion for marketing and visual branding, Lisa soon found herself working in social media and product development. After working for several local businesses in Middle Tennessee, Lisa joined the Moxie Media & Management team as Brand Manager in 2014.
Little Known Fact: While working in Fashion Lisa once had the opportunity to work with Taylor Swift, and also did some work for The BBC in London.
Sara Petersen
Project Manager
Sara studied Communications at Portland State University in Portland, OR. She began a career as a freelance writer in 2013, creating content for various websites and helping small businesses streamline their online presence. After moving to Nashville, TN in 2014, Sara worked in downtown Franklin as a Marketing & Communications Manager for a local music store.
In 2016, Sara joined the Moxie Media & Management Team as their Project Manager.
Little Known Fact: Sara was a part of #GrammoWriMO and worked with 300 other writers to write a group novel for National Novel Writing Month.
Brittany Gargis
Social Media Coordinator
Brittany studied fashion and marketing at Middle Tennessee State University. After completing her degree, she decided to make Nashville her new adopted home and pursue a job in marketing. She first started her career with social media marketing, brand management, and wardrobe styling with national and local companies in various industries including the launch of reality television’s Jep Robertson’s exclusive fashion brand.
Brittany likes to combine her passion for branding and marketing through building strategies around social media engagement. Brittany joined the Moxie team in 2016 as social media coordinator.
Little Known Fact: Brittany enjoys learning about her French roots and culture and is an active board member of Nashville’s chapter of the French American Chamber of Commerce.
Davina Ngei
Content Strategist
Davina Ngei is a professional content writer and copywriter for hire, as well as a business blogger. She is the founder of Business Broken Down, a blog dedicated to providing first-rate guidance and news to startup entrepreneurs.
Little Known Fact: Davina has participated in international poetry writing competitions, and has been published in several poetry collections.
